March 3, 2007

February 15 through August 19, 2007
Free opening reception on March 9, 5-8 pm in conjunction with downtown's 2nd Friday Art Night

Smile for the camera! Don’t miss the opening of the new exhibit featuring Bob Bumgardner’s great collection of Kodak cameras. Bumgardner, long-time owner of the old Little Rock institution, Jungkind Photo-Graphic, has acquired more than 850 examples of Kodaks since his retirement. The ninety-three cameras on exhibit date from 1895 through 1988.

It’s the big second anniversary for 2nd Friday Art Night. Each venue will have special activities and drawings for prizes. March Art Night serves as the opening reception for The Focus is the Camera: Kodak Cameras from the Collection of Bob Bumgardner, an exhibit in the annual Eclectic Collector Series.

Historic Arkansas Museum is one of several downtown locations that will keep its doors open to the public until 8 p.m. for an evening of culture, entertainment and shopping. Visitors can start at Historic Arkansas where there is plenty of free parking, and later catch the trolley to visit other participating venues. The Museum Store, featuring the best of Arkansas-made arts and crafts, will be open.
