Hidden Arkansas is an assortment of visual impressions by a group of creative art photographers from the Blue-Eyed Knocker Photo Club, begun in 2008. The assignment challenged the artists to capture in print form what each feels is “hidden” in Arkansas. Some found memories in the closets of an older building, hidden completely until hit just right by sunlight. A couple of photographers collected Arkansas photographic negatives from the past and printed them possibly for the very first time. All photographers found uniqueness in everyday objects and places. From prints of 1910 families to abstract digital impressions of the State Capitol, the more than 50 photographs take in all corners of the state, and many twists and turns on the theme. Artists exhibiting are: Cindy Adams, Darrell Adams, Gail Arnold, James Allen, Ann Ballard Bryan, Mary Chamberlain, Ray Chanslor, Susan Crisp, Susan Ebel, Rachel Green and Rachel Louisa Worthen.

The Blue-Eyed Knocker Photo Club is a continued forum of instruction in darkroom and traditional photography plus instruction in the new technologies of photographic art. As a group, the photographers have shown in over thirty juried art shows and received numerous awards. Each photographer is a long-term artist with an independent mind and individualistic style. With a variety of education, creative talents and techniques, the Blue-Eye Knocker Photo Club members are strengthened by interaction with each other and raise the bar in photographic imagination and exploration.
