Winners have been announced! Come see which quilts earned awards.

From appliquéd to pieced, from crib-sized to king-sized and from abstract, modern to traditional, patterned--this exhibit has it all.

The Great Arkansas Quilt Show II is a juried quilt show that celebrates contemporary Arkansas quilters and features more than 90 quilts from across the state. You'll be surprised by the variety in size, technique and composition. These quilts are works of art.

Free and open to the public

Enjoy refreshments, a silent auction and live music by The Real James during the opening reception and awards presentation. Learn who the big winners are and go home with something of your own from the auction. Quilt Show judges, Kathy Kansier and Margaret Miller, will sign copies of their books, available in the Museum Store.

Certified Quilt Appraisals by Kathy Kansier

$40 per appraisal; $20 per consultation

Quilts have a value whether they are handed down from previous generations or recently made, and an appraisal documents a quilt's value for insurance companies in case of loss or damage. Kathy Kansier, Certified Quilt Appraiser with the American Quilters Society, can also consult with you on the care and repair of both new and antique quilts and offer suggestions for selling quilts. Each written appraisal will be typed and included a photo of the quilt, approximate date of the quilt, description, provenance and insurance value.

Q is for Quilt: A Children's Story and Crafts Hour

Free and open to the public

Families are invited to join us in the galleries for Q is for Quilt, a children's story and crafts hour. Museum staff will read The Quiltmaker's Gift by Jeff Brumbeau and Gail deMarcken. Afterward, children and adult can move to the museum's Hands-on History room for a related crafts session.
