Grow Straight and True by Laura TerryTerry’s paintings capture what she calls “ghosts,” or aspects of the Southern landscape that she believes often go unnoticed. She says, “there is no need to search far for these natural wonders, no need to look beyond the garden.” Terry borrows imagery from the natural world and infuses her painting with rich colors and textures. Originally from Georgia, Terry is an associate professor in architecture at the Faye Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she has worked since 1998.
