Trinity Gallery for Arkansas Artists
Opening reception on Friday, February 13,
5 - 8 pm, in conjunction with downtown's
2nd Friday Art Night

The narrative mixed-media work of Arkansas artist Ariston Jacks is paired with Susan Williams’ figurative bronze sculpture in The Visual Narrative.

Jacks, who creates layers of visual imagery to relate personal and community histories, often juxtaposes historical perspectives with current conditions. Jacks says, “…my art illuminates the spirit and experiences of family, modern culture and humanity.”

Her Majesty by Susan WilliamsSusan Williams, a native of Dumas, studied art at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Her work reveals her fascination with the human form, whether it is presented realistically or in abstraction. “I love the feel of clay in my hands, creating beautiful forms and then having these experiences sealed with the permanence of bronze,” she says.

Some of the works will be available in the Museum Store.
