This workshop is a great opportunity to get together with other creatives for a fun few hours of learning, experimenting and using wool as an illustrative medium. Fiber artist Dani Ives is well-known for her life-like portraits of animals and pets, several currently on exhibit at the museum.

A master at her craft, Ives will guide you through the basic needle felting and “painting with wool” techniques such as adding blocks of color, shading, details, and creating crisp lines. Learn how to compose and frame a project, how to mix wool and create different textures, and ways to get your image onto the fabric.

Come with your own idea or use a template provided in class. Registration fee includes all the tools and supplies you'll need to complete multiple projects, including a foam pad, felting needles, background fabrics, 6" embroidery hoop, and plenty of wool.
