Fall School Fair for K - 6: The Science in History

October 25, 2017 AM to October 27, 2017 AM

Historic Arkansas Museum - 200 E. 3rd Street, Little Rock AR

Additional Event Details

The School Fair is typically $6 per student, but thanks to generous donors to the Bill Worthen Future of History Fund, students and teachers/chaperones attend for free; the cost for additional adults is $6 each.

Science was an important part of the lives of the early settlers. They used science to print their papers, prepare their foods, make things from iron, and figure out how to map the land. Science would have also been used in entertainment like playing musical instruments and storytelling.

Join us as we learn all about how the settlers used science. Hands-on activities will include playing pioneer percussion instruments, churning butter, fruit and vegetable stamping, and surveying. There will be demonstrations of the Woodruff printing press and blacksmithing.
