This was drawn during the Civil War by a POW in the Little Rock Military Prison. A. J. Freeman was a confederate prisoner, a private in Crawford's Regiment Company A from Bradley County, Arkansas. His name is found in Rebel's Hell Little Rock's Yankee Prison 1863 - 1865.
