Three die-stamped incise marks on base: “D.C. FULTON/PURE COIN” and three pseudo-hallmarks: eagle in rectangle, “U” within an ellipse, and a shield. “Ashley” monogrammed in script on side. Set of seven beakers made for either Arkansas’s United States Senator (1844-1848) Chester Ashley (1791-1848) or his son William E. Ashley (1823-1868) both of Little Rock, Arkansas.
