Albina Coon" Lyon was born in Union County, Arkansas, to Richard and Mary Lyon in 1846. She married at the age of 18 to Lt. Romulus Lamkin. At one time, they lived in the Baker" home in Champagnolle, Arkansas. Her husband Lt. Lamkin was of the Co. E., 3rd Arkansas Infantry during the Civil War. Together they had two sonsone died in infancy, the other was named Henry. Albina became infected with Tuberculosis and her husband took her to Bryan, Texas, hoping for a cure. She died there in 1871 at the age of 25.
