Capital Hotel takes Two of Three at 13th Ever Nog-of

Historic Arkansas Museum - Wednesday, December 13, 2017

 

Historic Arkansas Museum hosted the 13th Ever Nog-off last Friday with an estimated 1,000 people in attendance throughout the evening.

The event was kicked-off by HAM Director Swannee Bennett who led the opening ceremonies which included the induction of Nogger Emerita, Leah Elenzweig, and Nogger Emeritus, John S. Selig, as well as a recognition of George West for coining the term “Nog-off.” Elenzweig and West then participated in a ceremonial “cracking of the first egg” to start the competition.

Guests to the Nog-off vote in two categories while the panel of judges vote for the Taster’s Choice award. This year's Taster’s Choice Award judges were newly-name Nogger Emerita Leah Elenzweig, Dillon Garcia of Arkansas Mixology Associates and Al Hodge who won the opportunity at the museum’s recent fundraiser.
