Second Friday Art Night

Join us Friday, June 10 for the free opening reception of one our most anticipated exhibits of 2015!

In Art. Function. Craft. visitors are invited to see the works of Arkansas’s finest and most fascinating artists and artisans practicing, preserving and progressing traditional craft; and to hear about their personal artistic journeys in a series of documentary shorts. This exhibition, and corresponding film series, is a collaboration of Historic Arkansas Museum and the Arkansas Arts Council, which gives the Arkansas Living Treasure Award to those who excel in the practice of a traditional craft.

Live music by the award-winning Clancey Ferguson Among other honors, Ferguson was named 2012 Arkansas State Junior Fiddle Champion, 2013 Arkansas Junior Contemporary Fiddle Champion, 2014 Arkansas State Junior Contemporary Fiddle Champion and was also voted the Ozark Folk Center “Musician of the Year” in 2014.
