Pioneer Day Camp

Pioneer Day Camp 2018: Theme is Heritage Food

Every summer pioneer day campers have fun as they explore what life was like in Arkansas more than 150 years ago. This year campers will explore the food heritage of the state and those who lived on our block. They will get to prepare Native American, Scottish and German, African, and American recipes. They’ll visit the blacksmith in his shop and see how he would make kitchen utensils.

Each day, campers will enjoy crafts, pioneer games, dancing and much, much more. On the last day of camp, parents will be invited to watch the children show off their pioneer dance skills.
